I hope you are well.
I haven’t finished my story about my trip to Vietnam in 2016 yet! ^^ If you want to read or reread my previous articles on this topic, here they are:
In this article, I’m going to quickly tell you about the surreal Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba Island where I stayed at a resort called Nam Cat Island Resort.

What I liked the most about Vietnam was the sublime Ha Long Bay, where I spent one night on a junk called the “Imperial Legend Cruise”. I think the trip between Hanoi and Ha Long took over 3 hours by bus. When we got on the junk, we were warmly greeted by the friendly crew, whose captain was very friendly.
When I got to Ha Long Bay, I was blown away, even though it was gray and cold. It reminded me a little of Tam Coc but in even more beautiful! This is the most beautiful thing I saw in Vietnam, just before Sapa. I had the chance to kayak in this exceptional place, touch one of the cliffs, and swim in this emerald-colored sea. That was crazy! In the evening, we were several junks in the middle of the bay, like a small town on the sea, it was beautiful and romantic for couples! My room was quite nice but I slept badly because I was very cold during the night.
The next day we visited the most beautiful cave in the bay, Hang Sung Sot (the Surprising Cave). It was huge, impressive and very beautiful, from which we have a splendid view of the bay. I was amazed at Ha Long, I strongly advise you to go there as a couple 😉 Moreover, the crew was irreproachable and all the meals were delicious!
Cat Ba Island
After my dear Ha Long Bay, I went to the beautiful Cat Ba Island where I had a bungalow by the beach. It was the first time that I was on a beach with huge cliffs in front of me, I loved the view, plus there was anyone!
