Hello my dreamers,
I hope you’re doing well!
Following my articles on Paros and its villages, Naxos and Santorini (Fira, Oia, Imerovigli, the Red Beach, and Ancient Thira), I will tell you about restaurants, with some good addresses in Santorini 🙂
In Mesaria
In Mesaria, we ate well at the restaurants:
- To Paradosiako: hummus, octopus, and shrimp saganaki with cheese and tomato sauce
- Patasis: good gyros (even if I don’t have any picture >_<)
In Fira
In Fira, we found a super good restaurant called Theoni’s Kitchen, where my boyfriend ate a good fish dish with grilled vegetables and where I really enjoyed my mushroom risotto!!
Then, we had to go to Lucky’s Souvlakis which has the reputation for making the best gyros in the area, hehe. There, it’s very small, there must be room for not even 20 people seated. The boss is super nice, he talks a lot with customers and the prices are really cheap despite the success. I don’t know if it’s here where we eat the best gyros but it’s true that it’s very good.
In Oia
If you want to eat something sweet in Oia, there is a place called Hungry Donkey (you have to go a little bit out of the center) where they make crêpes (but not only sweet), ice creams, smoothies, and milkshakes, but also sandwiches. I only ate one ice cream there so I don’t know if the rest is worth it ^^”
In Firostefani
In Firostefani, we ate at Taverna Simos where we ordered good little spinach pies, stuffed vine leaves, squid, and stuffed eggplant (papoutsaki). I liked this place for its food, its tree inside the room, and the cute cat of I don’t know who, who climbed up to lie on my boyfriend’s lap while he drank a coffee XD
We also went to To Hanaki, a fish and chips restaurant that serves good portions, and where we ordered fries, fried shrimp, and fried squid. Mmmmm it was delicious!
Finally, we went to Why not! Souvlaki and I recommend their smoothies (there are lots of different flavors) but not their burgers because they were really bland (in 2019 anyway).
In Pyrgos
We dined at the Kantouni restaurant where we ordered their “Mixed of marinated meats” dish for 30€ for 2 people. There were 4 skewers. One of pork, one of chicken, one of lamb, and one of grilled vegetables, served with potatoes, pita rolls and 3 delicious sauces. We enjoyed the main course as well as the dessert we were offered. It was a really good panna cotta!
I really like Greek food 😍 and you? What dishes do you like? What are the restaurants you recommend?
This is already my fourth article about Greece and I am not finished yet! XD See you at my next and last 2 very special articles, you’ll see why ˆˆ
